What a shame, it happens to all of us once in a while :) Just scoop it in a nice bowl, a dollop op mascarpone on top and it's your rustic apple dessert!
I really have a hard time waiting for things to cool. Especially baked things... nothing beats freshly baked bread still warm from the oven even if the recipe says to let it cool for several hours. :)

Oh this has happened to me so many times. It's such a bummer isn't it.
I usually just then serve it warm with a scoop of vanilla on top...it's literally a crumble then.
Still looks yummy to me! I say, spoon the pieces into a bowl, top it with vanilla ice cream and serve it with spoons. If anyone scoffs, they don't get any! :)
Well it's my first time here and still the food looked good... warm it up, a scoop of Ice Cream... YUMO! Of course I did check out your whole blog...LOL Drolled all over the keyboard... I will be coming back here a lot... If you can come by and visit me... would love to be your bloggin bud...
I thought maybe it was a stuffed potato skin or something of some sort. in its torn apart state, I couldn't quite even tell what it was! But boy have I done that before myself....
Come on, Susan! Torta di mele doesn't have to be a perfect circle at all to be enjoyed-- in fact, all the better to pinch off little bits of it with your fingers when you feel like it, hee! :)
